Designed originally for Sarah and Ben
The clients gave me the concept of “two becoming one” and asked me to run with that in a more contemporary modern look. Here the design started with the form, and dictated the placement of the stone (instead of the more typical “solitaire”) and therefore serves as an accent rather than the focal point. This Baguette-cut diamond is a hefty one-carat stone that has been custom- cut here in New York City to fit a torqued shape which was hand-sculpted, cast in platinum, and soldered together from two pieces – thus echoing the original concept not only in form but in the actual making of the ring.
Baguette-cut diamond that was cut specifically to fit into the metal form; platinum with mirror finish. All correspondence was through the internet; as the couple lives in London.
