Congratulations to fashion icon and music guru Cyndi Lauper who took home a Grammy yesterday for writing the score and lyrics for the Broadway musical Kinky Boots! We love that she adorned Linhardt jewelry during her win as well as on the Grammy Red Carpet, paired with an Alexander McQueen beaded top and black cape – as if she wasn’t enough of a Superwoman!

It is a special honor to have Ms. Lauper wear the jewelry as she was a tremendous fashion influence and icon to me while growing up. I saw a post earlier mentioning her “Bronx” accent – it is actually a Queens accent (take it from a fellow and proud native)! The woman is still looks classy “rock-and-roll” aging gracefully – still very COOL in my book so its fabulous to see her on the Best Dressed lists when I read the papers this morning. Take a look at the Linhardt Custom One-of-a-kind 18k gold ring with hand-carved chalcedony (above) as well as the 18k gold Tempest Rings (below) – plus all of the Tempest Collection rings in Sterling Silver paired with Linhardt Opus Earrings at the Clive Davis Pre-Grammy bash. We even have a great photo of Ms. Lauper backstage posing with Linhardt jewelry! She has been a fan since we opened in the East Village shop back in 2008 so its great to see that we have been followed to our new Nolita location – and that Linhardt jewelry was her top choice on the year’s biggest night in music.

Cyndi Lauper remains at the top of her game, with a career spanning over four decades. She is one of only twenty artists to achieve “GET” status by winning competitive Grammy, Emmy, and Tony awards. Love you Cyndi – Queens represent!

If you are interested in commissioning me for a custom piece of jewelry for your red carpet events, engagements, weddings and other special evenings. I would be honored to work with you too! Email me at lisa(at)linhardtdesign.com.
