A while back a vegan friend of mine offered to cook dinner, and I was left wondering what dessert to bring? Lets face it, I'm a jeweler not a baker so I looked to all the great cupcake houses of New York City for some delicious treats - Magnolia, Billy's, Blue Ribbon... and realized all were not vegan-friendly. A quick net search brought me to Babycakes, all-natural, organic and delicious alternative. Their baked goods are free from the common allergens: wheat, gluten, dairy, casein and eggs. Needless to say I braced myself for a terrible evening of dessert only to be pleasantly surprised - no, FLOORED - at these delicious and healthy treats! Ever since then. Babycakes has been an absolute staple in my diet when I'm in the mood for something sweet - which is why I was even more pleasantly surprised to learn my latest engagement ring commission is for Babycakes founder Erin McKenna. Congratulations to Chris and Erin on your forthcoming wedding!
 

Congratulations to Mark and Tiffany who just got engaged today at the Linhardt Gallery! To make it even better, we completely surprised Tiffany, who I had met with a few weeks earlier for a wedding ring consultation. Little did she know that Mark was actually planning to surprise her with a custom Linhardt engagement ring, and I was only meant to pick her brain and get a feel for her taste in jewelry. Mark wound up going with a beautiful Emerald-cut dark green Colombian emerald that we set in a custom vintage-looking-yet-modern 18k rose gold setting...

We were absolutely blown away by the fabulous food and amazingly professional team of Tracey and Amie of Two Chix Catering for our 1-year anniversary party! They put together a fabulous menu for us and had everyone drooling for more! My personal favorite was the double fudge and fresh raspberry brownie bites, or was it the skirt steak chimichurri on crisp plantain chip? Maybe the summer crab tartlets? The mini goat cheese and asparagus frittata...
