debeers signs contract with botswana

A new 10-year contract that DeBeers made with the Republic of Botswana will move the DTC (Diamond Trading Co.) activities from London to Botswana by year 2013. The DTC said they will recruit locally, in Botswana or from the DTC in South Africa, for those jobs that need to be filled by workers not willing to relocate. This decision will bring more employment and other opportunities to the country.
